Registration
Encampment is the most significant, worthwhile training experience in a CAP cadet’s career. It is a week-long basic training program and is required for the General Billy Mitchell Award. Encampment is designed to develop a greater understanding of CAP and Air Force missions and capabilities, personal and team leadership, and teamwork.

We are now accepting applications for cadet basics. The first step is to complete the application form, which can be accessed by clicking the link on the left of the page.
Upon receipt, applicants will receive instructions for additional forms and payment which will need to be completed and returned prior to arrival.
Cadet Basics must have attained the grade of Cadet Airman (Curry Achievement) prior to submitting an application.
The deadline for applications for cadet basics is May 31, 2011 at 11:59 PM EDT.
Applications will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. (NOTE: In previous years, the encampment had a waiting list due to the high number of applications - it is highly encouraged to send in your application early.)
Region Cadet Leadership School (RCLS) will be taking place 8-15 July (starting one day later than encampment) at Camp Fretterd. Detailed information on this event will be sent separately.
Cadet Registration Fees
The base rates for the 2012 Tri-Wing Encampment will be $140 for cadets. This year we will have two payment options for your convenience. First time encampment attendees from Delaware Wing - your registration fee will be subsidized by your wing, please send $115.
As always payment can be made by check or money order made payable to Maryland Wing Civil Air Patrol. Checks should be mailed to:

As an alternative, you may make your payment using a credit/debit card through our PayPal system. Please note that a $5 service charge to cover processing fees does apply to this method. To pay online, after you've sumbitted your application online, please select the appropriate button (example: "Delaware Wing Basic Cadet - $120"), enter your information and click submit. You will be redirected to PayPal's website to continue with the transaction.
In addition to our additional payment method this year, we are also introducing a scholarship program to help offset the cost of encampment for those who want to attend encampment, but the fee may be a bit too much. For details and to apply, please click on the link titled Scholarships on the left of the page.
